About Us

Ken Sandifer has been nurturing Bonsai trees for 20 years, gradually turning a casual hobby into a dedicated passion. A decade ago, Ken became deeply committed to the intricate art of Bonsai, honing his skills and expanding his knowledge. This dedication culminated in 2019 when, alongside his wife Yvonne Sandifer, established Sanderland Gardens. This sanctuary showcases Ken's meticulously crafted Bonsai trees and stands as a testament to his expertise and profound love for the art. 

In the process of maintaining this beautiful Bonsai Garden in Central Florida Ken has created the perfect blend of aggregate for Bonsai trees called Sanderland Gardens APX. This mix is well-suited for both Zone 8 and Zone 9. The aggregate functions include fast draining, oxygenating, nutrient provision, and fostering beneficial microorganisms. It helps maintain the health of Bonsai trees and creates a positive environment for effective fertilizer delivery and sustainability within the Bonsai container.

Ken Sandifer is the Bonsai Practitioner for SanderLand Gardens. Sanderland Gardens Bonsai’s trees have been prominently displayed at Walt Disney's Worlds 2023 Flower and Garden Festival, 2023 National Garden Club Show in Orlando, FL and in both 2023 and 2024 at the Bonsai Society of Florida Orlando Convention.
